Windows Mobile 7 now looking at late 2010 launch?
Things could get very dicey for Windows Mobile 7 now that a Microsoft executive says that the mobile OS will not be launched until late 2010. Microsoft UK head of mobility, Phil Moore, at a technology summit on London, was talking about the OS and said, "It has been put back until late next year but it is definitely coming. You're going to see a lot more on Windows Mobile 7. Giving the enterpise users and consumers what they want will be part of Windows Mobile 7. You;ll get flexibility on a much easier touch UI." The delay makes it unlikely that we will see the HTC HD2 get an upgrade to Windows Mobile 7 as we earlier reported, with that honor probably going to whatever device succeeds the Snapdragon powered beast. At the same time that Windows Mobile 7 stays on the bench, we probably will see newer versions of the Android OS and iPhone 4.0 OS which could put Microsoft's software too far behind too play catch up.source: msmobiles
