Mediocre budget phone at an affordable price

I was given this phone for testing purposes, and used it for about 2 weeks. At a cost of $200.00 US full retail, I wasn't expecting much. The exterior is comprised mostly of well finished rigid plastic. Due to the use of plastic instead of glass, the phone is considerably lighter than the average flagship. This could be considered an advantage as the plastic is less likely to break should you drop the device. The display has acceptable. It does have a rather large and unsightly notch for the ear speaker and front facing camera. The IPS LCD offers acceptable brightness in outdoor settings, and there are no major deficiencies in color accuracy or clarity when compared to other phones of it's class. That being said, it's a far cry from an HDR10+ OLED panel. The sound quality, loud speaker and microphone all function reasonably well. T-Mobile has taken it upon themselves to add a large amount of bloatware. When the junk apps were removed, the battery life was pretty good all things considered. I made it through about 6 hours of normal use before the low battery alert came on. In my opinion it's worth the extra $25 to get the stock Motorola version and bypass the majority of this issue. The SD636 chip set performs well enough to allow for a fairly snappy UI experience, and light multi-tasking or gaming. The cameras are decent quality, and take good pictures for the most part. The cameras do struggle with low light and high contrast environments, but that is to be expected given the price of the device.
