Good Phone On Paper, Not So Much In Person

Phone owned for more than a year

I've had this phone now for about 2 years and it checks most of the boxes on paper. I really wanted (and tried) to like it. This quirky device unfortunately just does not live up to my expectations and requirements as a solid daily driver of a phone.

The Good: This thing has a huge 4K screen that looks really nice with a little color customization in your ROM, and the screen can be made to be very bright for viewing in bright afternoon sunlight. It has a pretty good rear-facing camera that takes clear and fast shots in daylight with what I feel is respectably accurate color representation. It includes support for 1 microSD Card and has a physical headphone jack at the bottom of the phone with a single loudspeaker located on the other side of the same edge of the phone. The stock battery is a 3200 MaH removable unit with plenty of cheap aftermarket replacement batteries available for purchase online and the phone charges extremely fast using the factory charger and USB-C charging cable. The fingerprint scanner is on the back and built into the power-on button and is by far the best and most responsive fingerprint scanner I've ever used on a phone. Be sure to peel the little clear protective sticker off of your fingerprint scanner though (most people don't know it's there), or the scanner won't work anywhere near as well as it is supposed to. The processing is smooth and fast with little lag in normal day-to-day use and has stunning music sound quality via headphones.

The Bad:
This phone's battery life is absolutely abysmal. I've tried this phone stock, rooted (and personally customized for max-battery life), about 10 different custom roms, and nothing makes a significant enough difference to allow this phone to even come close to overcoming its battery-life deficiencies. Screen-On Time will never surpass 3.5 hours even with a brand new fresh battery, but the worst thing about it is that this thing chews up unacceptable amounts of battery even sitting idle in airplane mode with every single thing completely disabled overnight. I literally shut off everything (even all of the google play services) and just left the absolute most basic of Android fundamentals installed with every sync feature completely killed, and it still will use up over 1% battery per hour.
It has no waterpoofing whatsoever.
The screen is LCD instead of AMOLED --> Chews more battery when in use.
There is no blinking notification light anywhere on the phone to let you know you have an unread text.
The rear Camera sticks out past the case of the phone and breaks extremely easy just putting the phone down unless you have a case that sticks out past that.
The wide angle camera distorts images a bit and the low-light camera capabilities of this phone are terrible compared to other phones I've had in the past (Samsung GS3 and GS5), resulting in grainy and dark shots where very little is visible.
Has No QI charging support or ability to add it via inner QI-reciever sticker.
